Hello! This track was inspired by music from Sega Genesis/Mega Drive games. Yes, I've decided to make some more music that's VGM-like, and I think I did a really good job here! I've been told that the track sounds like it belong in a Shoot 'em Up game, which is good because that's what I was going for (even though I haven't really played a lot of those games... I am quite bad at those :P).
This track is obviously not a real FM chiptune, as I really didn't want to bother with tracker software for this one. However, I think I did stick to the limitations quite well, so I believe it should be possible to turn this track into an actual FM chiptune... though I really don't want to bother with it (Recreating FM patches... not happening!).
This BMS is 905 KB unzipped. Obviously only .ogg version is provided due to 2HDBMS event rules. I don't think the compression is really hearable. I could've compressed it further by reducing the bitrate and pretending it's being played back on a Model 2 Sega Genesis (it has AWFUL sound quality, basically a crime against FM synthesizers), but that'd be quite pointless and silly.
Anyways, I do hope you'll enjoy this BMS! ^^

A blast to the past! This captures the feeling of old nostalgic games so brilliantly!
Isocosa is so good at making these kind of songs, keep up the good work!
Song really sounds like Zero Wing music or something. You really nailed the FM SHMUP BGM feeling. Good job with the countermelodies too.
Oh yeah, the BGI is also amazingly cool.
Played the 7K ANOTHER, very good chart. I liked hitting the tom fills and scales.
