Sub title: The algorithm idea for finding prime numbers in succession to Sieve of Eratosthenes
1379 is our team's second song in the BOFXVI and corresponds to 'Mathematics'. Depending on the concept of the song, it's going to be cryptography.
In fact, the music's sub title is the title of my thesis that I wrote at a research competition in high school.
I've been wanting to make music with this theme for a long time, and I'm finally did it!
To emphasize the complexity and mystery of prime numbers, I used many scales more than any other song I've ever made.
Personally, I like the violin accent the most.
As a rhythm game song, the part that emphasizes game quality is that the BPM drops to 67 in the middle and accelerates to 199.
In this part, if you have some knowledge of mathematics, you know right away, all of BPM is prime numbers.
Also, "1379" is not a prime number! I've just connected the four end-digit numbers used by this algorithm.

Behind Story,

The original subtitle was too long, so it was shortened in the game.

We wanted to fit the number of notes to a prime number, but we practically failed because the number of notes recognized by long-notes varies by BMS player...
Originally, counts intended for Another-pattern is 1583, and it is the 250th prime number.
We didn't mean to, but this number is also same as note counts in beatmania IIDX's Another-pattern of ZETA ~The World of Prime Numbers and the Transcendental Being~.

At first, our pattern creator(10PRA) tried to create a boss pattern above level 12, but we've decided to lower it because we didn't want players to feel stressed.
Even in its draft, there were no break times right before and after the BPM accelation.

After the production was complete, I belatedly realized that "73" was not in the BPM accelation.
Someone on other website noticed it first...

There's a hint about the real name of this music's composer in the final part of BGA.
It does not only provide a hint but also prevents the other person's impersonation.

And the fake name Beta-or-Alpha came from a book I read recently called Cosmos by Carl Sagan.
In the book, Eratosthenes is referred to by nicknames Beta and Alpha.

The number 7 is a prime number, which also means good luck, and also the final of this behind story.
Yes, that's right.
I added the 7th for no special reason, just to match the prime number...

昨年0と1をテーマにしたBMSがあったことを思い出しました。
素数といえば本家にも同じテーマの楽曲がありますが、
こちらは変化するbpmまで素数に拘っていて素敵です。
ノート数も素数にすれば、と思ったら色々と苦悩があったようで…。
テーマ性は非常に良いですが、楽曲としては途中不協和音に感じる箇所があったりと少し違和感を覚えました。
SPHをプレイしました。
配置の難しさやbpm変化も加味するとLv7としてはやや難しすぎるように感じます。
余談ですが「1379」自体は素数ではないんですね…。

I submitted a BMS featuring prime numbers at last year's BOF, so I felt a little closer to this song. The acceleration gimmick of prime BPM may not be to everyone's taste, but it was very interesting to me.
About the song, I think the arrangement is very good, but I have to say that there are too many notes that don't follow the chords and scales (especially for a few seconds at 1:10~). I think you could start with a clear and simple chord (such as a triad) and a melody that matches it perfectly, and then build the whole song. Thank you for your work.

곡의 메인 테마가 되는 1379라는 숫자, 정확히 어떤 의미가 있는지는 모르겠지만 이 숫자를 바탕으로 제작된 곡이라고 생각을 합니다. 다만, 개인적인 관점에서 이 곡은 그 내용을 곡을 듣는 것만으로는 도저히 이해할 수가 없었습니다. 리듬게임의 곡인 이상 들으면서 직접 느껴야 하는데, 멜로디도 이해하기 힘들고 BGA 역시 과도한 변화가 많았고, 심지어는 실제 플레이에서 변속이 메인 BPM보다 더 높은 숫자까지 올라가버려서 플레이에도 난항이 있었습니다. 제 솔직한 생각으로는 이 곡은 총체적 난국이었다고 생각합니다. 제작 수고하셨습니다!

무려 제 고등학생 시절 소논문을 끌고나온, 흑역사를 가공한 "졸작"입니다.
아무래도 미스테리한 분야의 아이디어를 집합한 곡이다보니 많은 사람들이 이해하기 어려운 곡이 나온 것 같습니다.
제작 당시 제 표현력이 많이 부족했다는 사실도 체감할 수 있었습니다.
그나마 코멘트를 읽으시면, 조금이라도 이해하는데 도움이 되실겁니다.
최고 보면은 낮은 보면의 매너 구간 난이도를 대부분 상향시켰습니다.
따라서, 변속을 최대한 어렵게 짜서 어려우셨을거라고 생각합니다.
난이도가 너무 높아 플레이에 불편함을 느끼셨다면, 대단히 죄송할 따름입니다...
그리고 감사드립니다. 솔직히 저 같은 무명인의 곡은 아무도 플레이 안 해주실 줄 알았습니다.

加速後に空白があるためギアチェンも比較的しやすく、プレイヤーのことをしっかりと考えて作られていると感じました。

Another譜面がめっちゃ楽しかったですが、叩いている音をもうちょっとはっきりわかるようにしてくれていたらもっと高得点につながると思います。
また、素数でBPM変化させているところも非常にユニークで面白いです。理系は喜びそう。
他の譜面では、N,H譜面では加速の最後にノーツを置かないあたり配慮されていると思いました。(でも結局1つハイスピ下げないとギリギリ見えない)
